  • WHY SHOULD YOU BOOK WITH MOTO TOURS YUCATAN?

  • WHAT IF IT IS INCLUDED IN THE TOUR?
    Accommodation and boarding arrangements (double occupancy): "bed and breakfast" format. Use of a Himalayan for the trip. Fuel for the distance of the trip. Motorcycle technical support. Luggage vehicle as backup. Selection of an item from the Moto Tours Yucatán store that you will take as a gift!
  • WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR?
    Passengers will be responsible for paying for their own meals (excluding those mentioned in the itinerary), snacks and anything else not included in the package. Flights or transfers to Cancun or similar are NOT included in the package. Any damage to the motorcycle during the ride will be the responsibility of the participants. Extra trips to the established route are not included and must be paid by the participants themselves.
  • HOW CAN I KNOW WHICH THE TOUR IS RIGHT FOR ME?
    The Tour is designed for motorcyclists over 21 years of age, it is necessary to have a valid motorcyclist license and have some verifiable experience. There are no technical sections on the tour, but we do go off-road to third parties that require certain expertise. Our daily trips are an average of 200 KM.
  • HOW DO I GET TO YUCATAN?
    When we talk about Yucatan we are referring to the Yucatan Peninsula Including Quintana Roo, in fact the tour begins in Akumal Quintana Roo, where we have our headquarters, therefore the Recommended Airport is Cancun, which receives national and international flights daily. , we are sure that you will find a flight that fits the tour dates without problems. ​ Note: Flights are not included in the cost of the tour.
  • CLIMATE?
    We cannot lie to you, expect warm weather, the Yucatan Peninsula from April to November is hot, in the months of May, June, July the thermal sensation can be up to 40 degrees Celsius, the motorcycling equipment must be appropriate. The rainy season is from June to September and June, July, August is when we can expect more frequent rains. From November to April the temperatures are usually cooler and more pleasant with little rain. Equipment recommendations below.

  • DOES MY MOTORCYCLE RENT INCLUDE INSURANCE?
    All of our motorcycles are covered by liability insurance, which means that if you are in an accident and it is your fault, our insurance pays for the other person or property, but does not cover your personal injuries or damage to our motorcycle. Each client is recommended to purchase complementary personal travel/medical and repatriation insurance. Make sure your insurance covers motorcycle holidays, as many insurance policies exclude activities they consider too dangerous or risky. Consult your insurance agent before the Tour, most insurance agencies offer travel insurance packages for a minimal cost. ​ At check-in you must pay an accidental damage deposit of $500 Dollars (or its equivalent in your local currency) in cash (or through PayPal or bank transfer.) to cover possible damage to the motorcycle. This will be returned in full at the end of your tour, provided no damage has been caused.
  • DO I NEED MEDICAL EXPENSES INSURANCE?
    Definitely YES, every responsible motorcyclist must have insurance for expenses in case of an accident.
  • HOW LONG ARE YOU EXPECTED TO TRAVEL EACH DAY?
    Daily distances depend on the type of route, road conditions, terrain and destinations, but normal is around 200 km per day and 5 to 6 hours on the motorcycle. Our goal is always to arrive at the accommodation before dark with time to relax before your evening activities.
  • IS FOOD INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
    Lunch and dinner are not included.
  • WHERE DO WE STOP TO EAT?
    We have stops along the way for fuel, drinks, and bathroom breaks. We usually stop for lunch between 2 and 3 in the afternoon and eat somewhere typical. The average cost of a meal, including a drink, is around 300 Mexican Pesos. You can convert to your currency by clicking here < /p>
  • WHAT TYPE OF ACCOMMODATION DOES THE TOUR INCLUDE?
    You'll typically stay in clean, comfortable two-, three-, and four-star hotels or guesthouses (some have swimming pools). However, to operate our tours through the less commercial routes, some stopovers will be made in more rustic hotels. But we assure you that you will always have a shower, a delicious meal and a clean bed at the end of the day. The tour price is based on double occupancy, which means you will share a room with another client. If you would like to have a room to yourself, this can be arranged for an additional fee.
  • WHAT ITEMS DO I NEED TO BRING?
    You probably won't need as much as you think, but you will receive a "What to Bring" list with your confirmation email after you have booked. This will give you a list of essential and non-essential items.
  • SHOULD I BRING MY OWN EQUIPMENT?
    The answer is yes, the equipment is personal and for reasons of hygiene and comfort we recommend that you travel with your complete motorcycle equipment, helmet, gloves, jacket with protection and boots. ​ We have some equipment available if you require it please contact us if this is your case. ​ The equipment must be suitable for warm weather, mesh jackets do the job, they are light and you will be protected. Don't forget a raincoat. ​ The boots, if they are not specialized, can be military or work type boots trying to protect the ankles. ​ The use of a helmet is mandatory at all times.
  • WHAT EQUIPMENT DO THE MOTORCYCLES HAVE?
    All our motorcycles have the following accessories: ​ - Engine guards - Carter protector - High performance headlight - RAM cell phone base - 10 liter waterproof bag for personal items. - 20/30 liter waterproof bag for luggage.
